Hapag-Lloyd Vessels

As at 30 September 2015, Hapag-Lloyd's fleet comprised a total of 175 container ships, which are all certified in accordance with the ISM (International Safety Management) Code and have a valid ISSC (ISPS) certificate. The majority of the vessels are also certified as per ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO 14001 (environmental management).

The Hapag-Lloyd fleet's total TEU capacity amounts to around 950,000 TEU. Hapag-Lloyd also owns or leases a container stock of more than 1.6 million TEU for transporting cargo.

On 20 April 2015, Hapag-Lloyd ordered five container vessels, each with a capacity of 10,500 TEU. Each of the new Hapag-Lloyd ships will have 2,100 slots for reefer containers. The ships are scheduled for delivery between October 2016 and May 2017.

Hapag-Lloyd vessels are specially equipped for the transport of various goods, e.g. cargo with extraordinary / oversized dimensions, reefer cargo and dangerous goods that have to be stowed and transported according to IMO-regulations.
