General Rate Increase - USA to East Asia, Indian Sub-Continent and Middle East

Hapag-Lloyd will increase rates effective May 15, 2012.
We would like to inform you that with effect from May 15, 2012 Hapag-Lloyd will increase rates for the following cargo and all container types from USA to East Asia, Indian Sub-Continent and Middle East as follows:
From US Origins other than Los Angeles CA, Long Beach CA and Oakland CA:
Dry cargoes (non-temperature controlled)
- USD 80 / 20' and USD 100 / 40' container
From US Origins Los Angeles CA, Long Beach CA and Oakland CA:
Dry cargoes (non-temperature controlled)
- USD 40 / 20' and USD 50 / 40' container
From all US Origins:
Reefer cargo as follows: French Fries, Frozen Vegetables and Miscellaneous Reefer NOS (see below list)
- USD 160 / 20' and USD 200 / 40' container
East Asia comprises of Japan, Republic of Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China (PRC), Macao, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, Philippines and the Russian Pacific Ports of Vladivostok and Vostochny.
Indian Sub-Continent comprises of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
Middle East comprises of Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Sudan, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, and the Red Sea Ports of Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Miscellaneous Reefer NOS comprises of the following commodities:
Dairy Products: Butter/Margarine, Cheese, Dips, Eggs, Milk and Cream Substitutes; NOS, Pudding, Toppings (dairy and non dairy);NOS, Whipped Cream, Yogurt
Bakery Goods: Batter Mix; NOS, Biscuits, Breading Mix; NOS, Breads, Cake Mix, Cakes, Cheesecakes, Churros, Cookies, Desserts, Dough, Muffins, Pancake Mix, Pasta, Pies, Pizza, Pizza Crust, Tortillas
Confectionery: Candy, Chocolate, Confectionery, Marshmallows, Syrups
Dry Cargo in Reefer Equipment: Blood Plasma, Chemicals, Cosmetics, Enzymes, Food Additives, Glues, Adhesives, Hides, Lumber, Machinery, Medical Supplies, Paint, Varnishes, Dyes, Pharmaceuticals, Plants, Shrubs, Trees, Resins, Plastic, Rubber, Slurry, Toiletries, Vitamins
Miscellaneous Reefer cargo: Beverages, Coffee, Condiments, Ice Cream, Jams, Jellies, Puree, Juice and Juice Concentrate, Marinade, Orange Beverage Base, Pasta; NOS, Pickles, Rice, Sandwiches, Sauces, Sherbet, Soft Drink Syrups, Soup, Soup Bases, Soybeans, Spices, Seasonings, Vegetable Oil, Vessel Supplies, Whey, Wine and Spirits
The Merchant is responsible for all necessary clearances and licenses (as per Clause 12 Hapag-Lloyd Bill of Lading/Sea Waybill Terms and Conditions).
