PSS Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) & General Rate Increase (GRI) - Far East Westbound to North Europe

Hapag-Lloyd will adjust the application.

With our Customer Letter dated July 2, we have informed you about the implementation of the Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) and the General Rate Increase (GRI).

We would like to inform you today that Hapag-Lloyd will adjust the application as follows:

Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for all cargoes and all container types from East Asia (excluding Japan) to North Europe:

Initially announced with USD 350 per TEU effective August 1, 2012 until September 30, 2012
Update: USD 150 per TEU effective August 1, 2012 until September 30, 2012

General Rate Increase (GRI) for all cargoes and all container types from East Asia (excluding Japan) to North Europe:

Initially announced with USD 250 per TEU with effect from August 15, 2012.
Update: USD 250 per TEU with effect from September 1, 2012.

North Europe comprises North West Continent, the U.K., Scandinavia, Baltic and European ports of Russia.

East Asia comprises Japan, Republic of Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China (PRC), Macao, Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Brunei and Russian Pacific Ports of Vladivostok and Vostochny.

The Merchant is responsible for all necessary clearances and licenses (as per Clause 12 Hapag-Lloyd Bill of Lading/Sea Waybill Terms and Conditions).
