Canada - Advance Commercial Information (ACI) - Canadian Postal and US ZIP Codes

Hapag-Lloyd informs about new obligations.
We would like to inform you that with effect from May 12, 2012 the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) has made postal and ZIP codes mandatory for Canadian and US addresses:
Canada format: ANA^NAN (example: H3Z 3E7)
USA format: NNNNN (example: 08854)
A = Alpha; N = Numeric; ^ = Space
This is applicable to master and house Bills of Lading.
Please ensure your shipping instructions are conform with the above.
