General Rate Increase - Canada to East Asia, Indian Sub-Continent and Middle East

Hapag-Lloyd will increase rates effective May 10, 2012.
We would like to inform you that with effect from May 10, 2012 Hapag-Lloyd will increase rates for all dry cargoes (non-temperature controlled) and all container types from Canada to East Asia, Indian Sub-Continent and Middle East as follows: USD 80 per 20' container and USD 100 per 40' container
East Asia comprises of Japan, Republic of Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China (PRC), Macao, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, Philippines and the Russian Pacific Ports of Vladivostok and Vostochny.
India Sub-Continent comprises of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
Middle East comprises of Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Sudan, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, and the Red Sea Ports of Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
The Merchant is responsible for all necessary clearances and licenses (as per Clause 12 Hapag-Lloyd Bill of Lading/Sea Waybill Terms and Conditions).
