General Rate Increase – Canada to East Asia, Indian Subcontinent and Middle East

Hapag-Lloyd will postpone the October 1, 2011 GRI until November 1, 2011.

We would like to inform you that Hapag-Lloyd will postpone the October 1, 2011 GRI until November 1, 2011.

With effect from November 1, 2011 Hapag-Lloyd will increase rates for cargo from Canada to East Asia, Indian Subcontinent and Middle East as follows:

Rate increase to East Asia, Middle East and Indian Subcontinent with the exception of India for all commodities (Dry Containers)

Rate increase to East Asia, Middle East and Indian Subcontinent with the exception of India for all commodities (Reefer Containers)

Rate increase to India for all commodities (Dry Containers)

Rate increase to India for all commodities (Reefer Containers)

East Asia comprises Japan, Republic of Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China (PRC), Macao, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, Philippines, and the Russian Pacific Ports of Vladivostok and Vostochny.

Indian Subcontinent comprises India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Middle East comprises Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Sudan, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, and the Red Sea Ports of Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

The Merchant is responsible for all necessary clearances and licenses (as per Clause 12 Hapag-Lloyd Bill of Lading/Sea Waybill Terms and Conditions).
