Sponsorship Criteria
Hapag-Lloyd Foundation pursues non-profit making goals exclusively for the benefit of culture, science and research as well as social institutions. Currently it is mainly active in art and culture, supporting institutions and projects almost exclusively at its head office location, Hamburg. In addition it concentrates a part of its resources on its own programmes and events. It is the foundation’s aim to cooperate with selected partners over an extended period. Applications for grants can be made informally and are not tied to any particular deadlines. However, the project (with costs and schedule) should be explained in detail in writing. Important notice: sponsorship resources have already to a large extent been allocated for 2012.
The Hapag-Lloyd Foundation has decided for the present neither to award any further scholarships, nor to support individuals. This also applies to groups without concrete projects. Travel and printing subsidies will not be granted as a matter of principle. Additionally, leisure-time events, which attract commercial sponsoring, do not come within the Foundation’s sponsorship guidelines.
