Indien - Einführung einer Chennai Congestion Surcharge

Hapag-Lloyd führt eine Port Congestion Surcharge für Transporte von/nach Chennai (Indien) mit Wirkung zum 5. September 2011 ein.

Please be advised that the Port of Chennai is showing an increased congestion impacting the terminal productivity as well as sailing schedules, both resulting in an increased cost exposure.

We therefore have to inform you that effective September 5, 2011 Hapag-Lloyd will implement a Port Congestion Surcharge for shipments from / to Chennai, India as follows:

Export from Chennai: USD 50 per TEU
Import to Chennai: USD 65 per TEU

Hapag-Lloyd will continue to closely monitor the Chennai port situation and will keep you informed on further development.
