Hapag-Lloyd informiert über die neuen Serviceanbindungen zwischen Nordeuropa und Westafrika.

Hapag-Lloyd has always focused on meeting its customers’ requirements. As one of
the world’s largest container carriers, we ensure that our ships and employees are always where customers expect us, and our top service, to be.
For this reason we will in future offer two complementing fortnightly services between North Europe and West Africa.
The West Africa Express (WAX) will continue to offer direct connections between:
Amsterdam - Hamburg - Antwerp - Dakar - Lagos-Tincan -
Tema - Abidjan - San Pedro - Amsterdam
whilst the new West Africa Express 2 (WX2) will operate on following rotation:
Thamesport - Antwerp - Dakar - Tema - Lagos-Tincan -
Abidjan - Vigo - Thamesport
Whilst the Vigo calls are subject to inducement, the WX2 will offer seasonal calls to the Ghanaian port of Takoradi.
The first effective sailings for the new service concept will be
WAX Portofino ets Antwerp 12.10.2010
WX2 MOL Valparaiso ets Antwerp 17.10.2010
This step emphasizes Hapag-Lloyd’s commitment to the African continent and especially to the West African trade and complements our sub-Saharan Africa network.
